Josie searched her mind in desperation. She couldn't believe she'd been taken away from D.J. without a chance to even say good-bye. She had to get back to earth somehow. "But what about the threat to Christian's life?" she blurted. "If he gets killed, D.J. won't be able to handle his death. She'll need me." |

"The events of the next few days are not your concern. It is your turn to have faith, Josie. D.J. has absorbed all you had to teach her. When there is nothing between her and disaster she must rely on faith and love. She must make a conscious decision to believe. Only then will she have learned the ultimate lesson." |

Josie didn't like the sound of that. She searched her heart for news of her daughter. She didn't like what she learned. Five men approached the cabinD.J.'s ex-husband, a man she couldn't remember seeing before but who must have been driving the black van, and the three who had accosted Christian on the highway. They were up to no good. |
